Party time

Every year after a big project is wrapped up at work, Matt throws a party at our place for the team.

They started off the night with huge martinis... dangerous!

And then, we busted out the karaoke games... omg!

I'm glad today it's crappy outside, so I don't feel so bad about veggin' out on the couch all day.

They poured the concrete on Upper Wacker on Friday. It was pretty cool to watch!

An empty highway during rush hour

On my walk home from work Thursday, I noticed all the streets were blocked off and completely empty... except for the cops standing at every corner and parking garage exit. I thought it was pretty strange, especially because it was rush hour. I got to Washington and Jefferson and a cop told me I could not walk any further west, only north or south. He said Obama would be through in about 10 minutes, so I just waited it out a block from my condo.

Obama travels with quite an entourage. It was crazy! They had closed down the highway for him to drive through. I can only imagine how unhappy those people were that got stuck on the highway behind him!

Kelly's wedding shower

I'm finally getting around to posting some pictures from my trip home a few weeks back for Kelly's wedding shower. My cousin Kelly married her husband Ruben last April, but they are celebrating their marriage this year once Ruben is home from the military.
