4th Grade Bowling Party

The 4th grade had a bowling party at the Tivoli. I think about 30 of the 50 kids showed up, so there was a pretty good turnout! The kids bowled, had pizza, played the arcade games and then just ran around being silly!

Morgan and Lizzie had quite the fierce bowling competition!

Avery and her friends doing backbends!

And here is Avery taking an upside down selfie! I may be seeing things, but she looks so much like Morgan in this picture! I don't think they look much alike otherwise or right side up.

Bowling

Took a break and headed to the bowling alley! They love bowling, the pink lemonade, but also love the arcade and trying to win prizes!

We went to Tivoli Bowl for a quick game on Valentine's Day.

She was not happy about the split!

Bowling... again

On Friday, Anneke, the girls and I met up with Erin, Audrey and the boys for a bit of bowling. The kids had such fun last weekend that we decided to go again. This time, the adults bowled on one lane and the kiddos bowled on the other. I hadn't bowled in such a long time! It was so fun! I brought my bag with my ball and shoes. And in the bottom of the bag was my old bowling shirt! :) The kids had some pink lemonade and got to play a few games in the arcade before we had to head home.

Beckett was the big winner of game #1

Bowling fun

We decided to get out of the house and do some bowling. It's been a while since the kids bowled and they loved it! They also loved the pink lemonade and the arcade! Erin is still the "claw" game champ! On the way home from the bowling alley, Avery said to me "maybe you and Aunt Erin can go to the bowling alley sometime and you can practice the claw game with her". Ha!

Bowling fun

We love bowling!

Strike for Morgan!

Followed it up with a spare!

Avery got a strike!

We told the girls they could each try this claw game once and that we weren't going to waste money on it. They both won on the first try! Can't believe it!

Lego Day & Bowling

The day after Christmas, we relaxed at home and put together all the new Lego sets we got. Legos are intense and come with instruction booklets that are hundreds of pages long! So, this definitely took a chunk of time!

It was nice to have a day to unwind after the craziness of the last two days. Then, on Friday, we decided to get out of the house. So, we went bowling. The girls have such different approaches to bowling! Morgan just runs full speed and launches her ball as fast as she can. It seems to work well for her (with a little help from the bumpers!) Avery tries really hard to aim and bowls slowly. She gets frustrated easily because she is very competitive and hates being in last place! Matt and I even bowled. I miss the Sunday night league we used to be in... such great memories throughout the years!

There was also some veggin' out on the couch! Another favorite activity!

Bowling

The girls and their cousins went bowling a few weeks back. They love going to the bowling alley, not just for the bowling, but because they serve the best pink lemonade. :)

The girls bowled two games. The first game, Avery won by 1 pin. The second game, Morgan won by 1 pin. So, in total, they tied. Avery was so upset about this. She wanted to play another game, so she could be the winner! Competitive, much?!?

A bowling birthday

This year, we decided to have a "friends" birthday party for the girls. Seems like everyone in their class was throwing a party in October. Guess that's what happens when your kids are in a "late for the date" pre-K class - every kid turns 5 in late September or October! We combined our party with Grayson's and held it at a local bowling alley. We had about 15 kids. They bowled for about an hour and then we had pizza and cake. I felt like it was pure craziness, but they all seemed to be having a blast. :)
