Spring Break - Funtopia!

On Thursday, we went to Funtopia! The girls love climbing here... but it was super packed for Spring Break. Luckily, we got there before it opened and had reservations, so we didn't have to wait too long to get in. They climbed for a while and finished off with the elevated ropes course. This time, Morgan made it around the whole thing (kids and big kids sides). Avery stopped after the kids side. She's not a fan of heights and I'm amazed she gets up to do this at all! After climbing, we went over to the Lazy Dog restaurant for lunch. It was great!

Spring Break - American Girl Store

On Wednesday, we surprised the girls with a trip to the city to go to the American Girl Store. We shopped, ate lunch in the restaurant and their dolls got their ears pierced and hair done! They each got to pick out something to take home as well.

Spring Break - Swimming!

On Tuesday, we went swimming. We bought a pass from ResortPass, which is an app that lists hotels that allow people to come swim for the day without buying a hotel room for the night. So, we swam at the Hyatt Oakbrook (McDonald's campus). The pool and hot tub are pretty big, but with it being Spring Break for a lot of schools around here, the place was packed! The kids had a blast though!

 

Spring Break - Mani/Pedis

Every morning, I left notes on the girls' doors to tell them what we had planned for the day! 

On Monday, we went for mani/pedis, out to lunch with Daddy, then off to the mall for a shopping spree!

At the mall, they had these animals you could ride around on, so of course we had to try them out!

That night, the girls dined at Hotel Plothow's famous restaurant, Milo's. They got to sit in the fancy dining room and drink "milk wine" - ha!

Of course, Hotel Plothow Spa provided relaxing face masks to calm everyone before bed. This looks really creepy!

Spring Break - Check In

We stayed home for Spring Break this year and just did some fun activities around Chicago. We set up our house as "Hotel Plothow" again this year (similar to the when the pandemic hit and we had to cancel our Disney trip). The girls packed some bags and checked in! They got to make signs for their doors and we welcomed them with little gift bags on their beds!
