Visit from Matt's family

Matt's Dad and stepmom and some of his extended family came to Chicago for a visit. They stayed with us for a couple of days before heading into the city for some sightseeing. The girls had a blast playing with Caden and getting attention from their Grandpa and Grandma! :)

Caden's thinking "hey, guys, what's going on up there?"

Morgan had a blast pushing a real baby around

Hang on Caden!

Bunnies

A week or so ago, Matt called me to the basement and said "here - hold this and don't shake it" and handed me a box. Um, ok. Then he tells me, there's a baby bunny in it! Um, what - in our house?!? Turns out we have a family of baby bunnies in our backyard and two bunnies had fallen into our egress windows and couldn't get back out. So, Matt opened the window and put a bunny in the box to release in the backyard. Well, one bunny was fine, the other one was feisty. He made a break for it and hopped around our basement for a while. Matt finally cornered him near the sump pump. The whole thing was pretty comical. In the end, the bunnies were safe and sound and hopped off into the sunset. And the next day Matt got plastic covers to top the the egress windows so we wouldn't have to worry about this happening again!

Kiddos

The girls are getting better about letting me take their picture! Avery even gives me a cheesy grin when I say "smile"! :)
