We had a packed weekend full of family time and fun activities! We started off the weekend with our annual trip to Wannamakers to get flowers and plants for the yard. The girls had fun picking out all kinds of different flowers. They also loved watching the koi fish and tadpoles swimming around in the big tubs. Then, they found a bucket full of umbrellas and just had to walk around with those for a bit. Of course, Morgan picked blue and Avery picked purple. :)
After that, we headed over to Aunt Erin's house for some outdoor fun in the backyard. Avery just loved playing with my leftover wine bottle. She kept pretending she was relaxing with us enjoying a glass of wine. Ha!
While we were at Erin's, Matt was working hard at home re-staining the deck. It was quite a process. First, he had to power wash the deck, and then strip off the old stain, then apply the new stain. It took WAY longer than he anticipated. And it was like 1,000 degrees outside, which didn't help. But, when he was finished and it dried, it looked amazing!

On Sunday, we went to Brett and Sandi's house to celebrate Calvin's 1st birthday. It was hot, but the kids still had fun playing in the backyard. Luckily, Brett had set up plenty of shade for them. The girls especially loved the piƱata filled with candy. Even Calvin got in on the action!
On Monday, we had a BBQ at our house for my family. We set up a large kiddie pool on the back patio, which was a big hit.
