Sunday was the best weather day by far! It was still chilly in the morning, but warmed up to mid-70's and sunny in the afternoon. Morgan wanted to do the Hurricane, so we started off at the Klondike Kavern. Matt said he would do this one time! You can see them going back and forth through the tunnel.
We then headed to the girls' favorite indoor waterpark, the Wild West. They love the Black Hole. They have a screen where you can watch people going into the Black Hole, so I filmed it!

We went outside for a bit to the Lake Wilderness outdoor park.
I did the kiddie water slide... lost my sunglasses! Ha!
We grabbed lunch at the resort today and went to the Camp Social area to the Burger Bar.

After lunch and a short rest, we went to the Lost World outdoor park again. This one is in the Glacier Canyon area, so closer to our condo. It was packed! We managed to find a table to drop our stuff and then took a few laps on the lazy river.

The girls ran into the girl they met the other day, Aubrey, so the three of them raced against Matt on the mat race.
We were able to snag some chairs after people started clearing out!

We were all a bit tired from the day and decided to just order dinner from Moose Jaw Pizza. They have this fun car delivering their food!
On Sunday night, we had tickets to go to Aquavia Lumina at our resort. It's a 1 mile walk through a canyon where you follow this "deer" though all sorts of different areas until you get to the "source" (which based on the website is a legendary stream said to transform nature with the magic of water). There are lights, lasers, music, projections, etc.
Here is the path you take. You start up above everything and then walk down into the canyon. At the end, you walk back up.
You start out by going through the portal. Avery thought she was funny and pretended to bounce back like she couldn't get through. Some little boy by us was really worried about entering it!
There were lots of stops along the way. The first one is where we see the deer being born from nature (or at least that was my interpretation of what was happening - ha!) It was a projection on the side of the hill. You can hear someone yell "Bambi" at the end! :)
This area was like a wave of light above us (it was reflecting off smoke in the air).
As we moved through, the deer showed up again. Starting from nature and materializing, then disappearing again into nature.
This was the "dewdrops and moonlight" area.
I loved the music throughout the walk!
Of course, we had to do this!
We finally made it to the end - the Source! This are was intense with so many lights and lasers that it was almost overwhelming! Then there was a lightning bolt at the end that was the Source. I told Avery it was the aliens coming to beam us up to their ship - ha! That's what it looked like to me!
This is the final ascent back up to the top looking down at the paths with all the people, lasers and lights! It was really cool and I'm glad we got an early time slot. As we were leaving the line was backed up really far!
We walked back to our condo and crashed! We had walked so many steps this day including all the flights of stairs climbing to the top of water slides! So tiring, but so much fun!
On Saturday, Matt woke up early and scoped out the water parks (and picked up donuts for breakfast!) The weather was pretty chilly, so the indoor water park opened earlier and they delayed the opening of the outdoor waterparks. Who would have guessed it would be so cold in August! We decided to head to the Wild West Indoor Waterpark.

We passed the Candy Cabin... they sell chocolate covered jalapenos and chocolate covered pickles!
In the Wild West, there are quite a few fun things to do. They have a lazy river, tube slides (Black Hole, Fantastic Voyage, Twisted Trails), a mat race (Warped Wagons) and a play area with a bucket that drops 1,000 gallons of water every few minutes. The Black Hole was the "thrill" ride of this water park.

The hike to get to the slides was no joke - so many flights of stairs were climbed throughout the weekend!

It started to get a little warmer and sunnier outside, so we checked out the Lake Wilderness outdoor waterpark for a bit.
It was still kind of chilly, so we went back inside.
We were getting hungry, so we walked over to Monk's for lunch. The kids meals were served on a frisbee!
We took a short break after lunch and then it was back to the water parks! We checked out the Lost World outdoor water park, which was closer to our condo than the others. This park had the drop slides - Lunar Loop and Cosmic Drop. There was also a fun lazy river that was multi-level, with a conveyor belt to take you to the top and then a slide to take you back to the bottom. There was also a mat race with four lanes for racing!
Morgan really waned to do the drop slides, but was also terrified! Matt went first on the red drop slide (Cosmic Drop). This one is not enclosed. At the top, you step into a little pod and they close the door on you. After the countdown, the floor drops out and you zoom down!
Morgan decided to give it a try. She was so scared! When she got to the bottom of the slide, she burst into tears! I think it was just overwhelming!
Next up, Matt tried the blue drop slide. You drop all the way down and then go back up around the loop and then back down again! This one is completely enclosed, except for two exits for people who don't make it all the way around the loop! (On a side note, we saw one person have this happen to them while we were there!)
He told Morgan she would love it and it was easier than the red slide since it was enclosed and you didn't feel like you would fly out. So, Morgan gave it a shot! She ALMOST didn't make it around the loop!

After a bit, we went back indoors for a quick trip around the lazy river.
For dinner, we had made reservations at Del-Bar, a nearby supper club / steakhouse that was recommended by someone we work with. It definitely did not disappoint! Everything was delicious! Morgan was really excited to get huge cocktail shrimp!
We were all super tired from the day and the big meal, so we went back to the hotel to get some zzz's!
We decided to head out of town for Labor Day Weekend to wrap up the summer. All morning as we were packing up, Milo was whining and super clingy. He knew something was going on. We dropped him off at boarding and he was so excited! We left for the Wisconsin Dells around 10:30. We stopped off at lunch at Red Robin (I think in Janesville). We had been to one of these when we went on Spring Break to Tennessee and the kids liked it. When we got back on the road after lunch, it started raining. The traffic was not good, lots of stopping on the highway.

We finally made it to our resort! We stayed at the Wilderness Resort in the Glacier Canyon Lodge area. We had a two bedroom two bathroom condo with a kitchen and plenty of room for all of us. :)
We got changed and headed down to the Wild WaterDome indoor waterpark (it was still rainy outside). This one had the big wave pool (apparently, it's the nation's largest indoor wave pool!) By the way, our condo was at the opposite end of the resort, so every time we went somewhere it was at least a 10 minute walk!

After that, we walked to the Klondike Kavern indoor waterpark. This one had a lazy river, some body slides and whole kid area with a big bucket that drops 1,000 gallons of water every few minutes and the Hurricane water slide (one of the bigger thrill ones). The Mine Shaft Drop body slides were completely dark all the way down, which proved to be a little claustrophobic for everyone.

The girls made a friend in the hot tub named Aubrey. She was from southern Illinois. Since no one else wanted to ride the Hurricane, Morgan and Aubrey went. The Hurricane is one of the "wild" slides at the waterpark.
