On Saturday morning, Avery played soccer in her tournament in Oak Brook, while Morgan played soccer for the Black#2 team in Downers Grove. Avery's team lost their game (badly!), but Morgan's team won (and Morgan scored a goal!)

Avery had to leave the soccer game at halftime to head home to get ready for her second performance of High School Musical Jr. She had quite a cheering section this time... Grandma Ruth, Mama and Papa joined us to watch Avery. She did a great job as a rebel! Here are a few shots I snuck! :)

We had about an hour to relax before Avery had to get ready for dance pictures! Avery has two costumes this year - one for her jazz dance and one for her tap dance. We only had pictures taken for the jazz costume because there was a soccer game Avery wanted to play in that was at the same time as pictures. Here are some pictures I took at home beforehand.

We headed from dance pictures straight to the soccer tournament. The game had started, but was still in the first half so we hadn't missed too much. I didn't get any pictures of the game - oops! It was a good game and they won 4-2!
Avery played awesome - she got to play offense and was really aggressive. She had a great assist and many great passes during the game. She had so much fun! Morgan also played really well and scored a goal.
The game was really pushy on both sides - the refs seemed to be letting the kids play a little rougher than usual. Morgan is very aggressive and tends to push the limits on fouling. :) She was getting in some tussles with girls on the other team. One such tussle ended in the girl on the other team totally taking Morgan down to the ground by yanking her braid from behind! Morgan fell so hard, her head bounced on the ground! It was awful! Morgan sat for a few seconds, then got up and ran to the sideline crying. The ref gave the other girl a yellow card! The other team had terrible sportsmanship and didn't even do high-fives or anything after the game ended.
We grabbed dinner after the game at the Lazy Dog. The girls love going here because they serve Orange Fanta in gigantic glasses!
We made it home around 9:00 PM and everyone was exhausted!
