Touchdown!

On Sunday, we all went to watch Grayson play football. Grayson even scored a touchdown for us!

Memorial Day - more baseball

On Monday, we went back to Randall Park to play a little tennis and some softball.

Grayson had his championship baseball game, so we had to go cheer him on! Avery has been logging a lot of time reading to get a jump start on the summer reading program. So, she read in the car on the way!

The game was another close one! I think they were down 10-4 at the bottom of the last inning and the coaches were already discussing the next game (they had to lose twice since the tournament was double elimination). So, everyone was preparing to play this same team again. But, as they had down the other two games, they got some runs and tied it up! Grayson's team had 2 outs and the winning run on second base and Grayson was up to bat. Talk about nerve-racking! Grayson hit two fouls, so he had two strikes. Then, he just ripped it out over 1st base into left field and that was the end of it... his teammate scored and the boys went crazy! They were so excited to pull from behind and win again! They even got these massive rings for winning!

Kicking off Memorial Day Weekend

We started off Saturday playing tennis at Randall Park. Here is a tree over by Randall Park... cicadas everywhere!

Avery got to pick our lunch spot and chose Portillo's... always a favorite!

Then, we met up with my parents and the Wilkens at Grayson's baseball game. He was in a tournament in Woodridge. His team came from behind in an exciting finish to win the game!

So, of course, we wanted to catch his next game later that night. The girls and I went for that one. A few pictures before the game... Avery was posing people (for some reason - ha!)

Another exciting finish from their team, they came from behind again and won the game! After this, everyone decided that Avery and Morgan were the lucky charms! :)

There's a window to the kids' classroom at daycare and I usually sneak a peek before going in to get the girls at night.

Sammy Fund Weekend

This was the 15th and final Sammy Fund Weekend! The girls had a blast playing with their cousins Grayson and Nolan. Matt and I had fun golfing and hanging out with my family. It's sad that it's ending, because it's like a big family reunion every October.

Of course, it wouldn't be the Sammy Fund Weekend if there weren't new additions into the family... two years ago, Matt and I missed the SF because the girls were born (10/5/12). Last year, Sandi and Brett missed the fun because Nolan was born (10/13/13). And this year, Erin and Ross were at the hospital with my two newest nephews, Hunter and Beckett, who were born on 10/8/14! Grayson is the odd man out being born just after the end of October on 11/3/12. Lots of birthdays in a short period of time!
