Manicures
I took Avery to the nail salon with me the other day and she got her first manicure. I was way older than her when I got my first manicure! She loved the whole experience. She made sure to tell the lady that this is not how we do manicures at home. She said we never put 4 coats on! She had no idea what a base coat or top coat was. The manicurist just laughed. I told her we take a few shortcuts at home. :) Avery got purple nail polish (of course!) and the lady put a coat of sparkles on top as well.
Happy Valentine's Day
The girls were super excited about Valentine's Day. They had a party at school with all sorts of treats and crafts. Then, they got a stuffed animal bouquet from their Valentine, Daddy. I didn't get a picture of it before they dismantled it, but it was really cute! These girls are such goofballs... I get like one good picture, then they act all silly!
Lots of snow!
We got pummeled with snow! It was slightly warm enough to get out and enjoy it, so we bundled up. The girls really wanted to go sledding, but we don't have a hill that near us and didn't really want to drive somewhere for just a few runs down a hill. So, what do you do??? You make one in your backyard! We piled up the snow on the deck and created a little hill for them to sled down. They had fun, so that's all that matters! :)

Happy Birthday Papa!
We celebrated Papa's birthday this past weekend at my brother's house. The kids had fun playing with their cousins. Sandi and Brett made a mac-n-cheese bar with all kinds of good fixings! Aunt Erin brought the girls some Valentine's Day gifts.
All the kids wanted to play in baby Calvin's play area. Ha!

Haircuts
I took the girls to get haircuts last weekend. Morgan really wanted a shorter 'do. She didn't just get a trim... she got it all chopped off! Like 14+ inches off. I was a little sad to see it all go, but glad that we could donate it and help someone else out. It looks cute on her, but I will be happy when it grows out just a little more. Honestly, it's more work at this length than when it's long! Her hair is so thick and doesn't lay very well yet, so I have to keep it fixed to keep it out of her eyes. Avery also got a cute shorter haircut as well. Both girls were really happy with their new hairstyles!
New outfits
Thanks to Mama Ruth for the surprise in the mail... some new clothes! They love anything with princesses, so these were a big hit!
Another tooth gone!
Since losing her first tooth, Morgan's had the tooth next to it wiggling around. We kept thinking it was going to come out because it was hanging on by a thread. That thing stuck around for a few extra days... long enough for me to go pick up a surprise from the Tooth Fairy. This time I was prepared with the chocolate coins!
| Can't believe it didn't come out this night |
| But, she got it out a couple nights later |

Play date with the boys
What do you do when the kiddos are going a little stir crazy being cooped up in the house??? Invite your cousins over and take turns chasing each other with the bunny and kitty heads!
Then we played the Doggy Doo game and the kids had a blast! We got some "poo" stuck in the doggy and it all came out on Avery's turn. Ha!
