More snow time

Trying to get as much playtime in the snow before it melts! Morgan went out, but Avery stayed warm inside. Milo CRIED at the door until we let him out to play with Morgan. That dog loves to be outside! He still has a nasty cough, but seems to be feeling a lot better - thank goodness!

Snowy day!

We finally got some snow! The girls of course had to get all bundled up and get outside and play!

Milo had a good night's sleep and is responding well to the antibiotics and felt much better today! He was watching the girls and the snow and wanted to get out there! He got to try out his new winter coat from Erin and Ross.

Here's his first experience... all he wanted to do is lick/eat the snow!

They all had fun playing in the snow! :)

Can I go out, please?

Is that a big treat for me?

I'm super fancy!

Sick puppy

Milo was not feeling well on Monday and kept gagging. Eventually, he threw up all over the floor and then just laid there totally lethargic, just shaking and whimpering. He was not doing well at all. We called and the vet was able to fit us in Monday afternoon. The vet said he had a fever and wanted to do some xrays to check for a few different things. The xrays were not totally conclusive, but she said given that he was around dogs at the groomer last Tuesday and he's coughing (which we thought was gagging), he most likely has kennel cough. She also said he has some bunching in his intestines which could indicate he swallowed some string (which is most definitely a possibility given he eats everything!)  We started him on some antibiotics and hoping he feels better soon!

New toys

Like I mentioned, we have to try out all our new toys with in a day of getting them around here!

Morgan put on her new soccer trainer and hit the muddy back yard! It attaches around her waist so she can kick the ball without having to chase it down. She was working on her footwork.

And Matt had to try out our new toy - the toaster oven. He has already made quite a few things in here!

Are these not the most perfect pieces of toast ever?!?! :)

Merry Christmas!

Morgan was up super early this year, but Avery slept a little later. Milo was probably up first as usual! :)

Morgan speeds through opening her gifts and finishes way before Avery. Avery opens so slowly!

Here they are with the gifts Richard and Marcia sent to them!

Trying out their new comfy jammies!

Of course, we then have to open and play with EVERYTHING we got! This one took a little while with the 50+ Barbie surprises!

We took our annual family picture in our Christmas jammies! We added Milo to the picture which was not as easy as it sounds - ha!

Mama Ruth came over to exchange gifts with us in the morning.

Not sure why, but the girls just love getting in Milo's crate. He's not so sure why either!

In the afternoon, the Wilkens came over and we exchanged all of our family gifts. Well, except for my brother's family. They were quarantining at home since they picked up Covid a few days before Christmas. It started with Calvin getting it from preschool and passing it along to Nolan and Sandi. We missed them and it just seemed a little less Christmas-y without all the kiddos around!

Mama and Papa put all the gifts they got for the kiddos in big bags with a glowing gnome ornament attached!

Avery showing off her new cozy slippers!

It was a roller-blade Christmas and the kids wanted to try them out. So, they got in a little roller blading before it got dark! It was unseasonably warm this year!

Dinner time! The kids got uncrustables and the adults enjoyed lasagna. And we had some super yummy desserts. Avery had helped make a strawberry ice cream pie that was delish!

It was definitely different without Brett's crew here. We did facetime with them, but not the same. We'll just have another Christmas in a few weeks once they are all on the mend!

Christmas Eve

We had a busy Christmas Eve. We woke up to see that Twinkle Toes left us her last note of the season. The girls are always sad to see her go. :(

In the morning, the girls and I helped with the luminaries, putting sand and candles in bags and putting them along the sidewalks.

We had some fun with Milo... he didn't understand why the girls would want to get in his crate!

We went to church by Erin's house, then spent Christmas Eve over there playing games and eating lots of yummy food! Name cookies are always a hit! Milo even got one this year!

This was a ring toss game that Morgan and Beckett were playing. It lasted about a minute because the hat kept falling off Beckett's head and Morgan got frustrated. Ha!

Erin had a clay village for the kids to make. Avery picked the polar bear and it turn out so cute!

There was a cup stacking tournament. I think the kids liked stacking them and Beckett liked knocking them down!

We also played charades... anyone guess what Morgan is doing here?

It was 10 Lords a Leaping!

When we got home, we saw all the luminaries lit up! Even with the rainy weather, they still looked awesome!

After baths, we got everything ready for Santa to come. The girls got to give a hug to Twinkle Toes before she left for the year.

They left out cookies, milk and carrots for Santa and the reindeer. They also left instructions for Santa! Then, they tucked Twinkle Toes into bed!
