Quarantine Day 62: Stitch

We decided to do a family Disney theme today for fun. We all wore our Stitch t-shirts. We were planning to stay at the Polynesian and do the breakfast with Lilo and Stitch at 'Ohana. These were the shirts we were going to wear. :)

It was such a nice day outside that the girls did some of their schoolwork on the back deck.

It was "L" day at school, which meant "lunch outside". So, we had a picnic on the back deck.

Quarantine Day 61: Bikes + a big hill!

This week is Disney week at school, so I decided to bust out the clothes we would have been wearing over Spring Break had we gotten to go to Disneyworld. Who knows when we'll get to go, so might as well get some use out of these!

We found a big hill not far from our house that the girls loved flying down on their bikes. No crashes, but they were getting a little braver by the end, so we probably stopped just in time!

Disney - Heading home

On Saturday morning, we packed all up and had to head back home. So sad! The girls asked if we could stay just one more day. It's hard to leave such a fun time!

While we were waiting for our bus, the girls had fun playing in the carriage and around the hotel.

We grabbed lunch at the airport. Our flight home was great. We were on a new plane, so everyone had their own personal tv screen and tons of movie selections. I sat next to Morgan on the way back since Matt sat next to her on the way to Florida. Lucky for me, she watched the Lion King and passed out about halfway through and slept a good portion of the flight. Avery watched Beauty and the Beast and part of Wreck It Ralph. They did so well on the flights! (Phew!)

Disney - Day 6

Friday morning started off with another picnic on the balcony. Then, it was off to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for a princess makeover. We couldn't get into the MK one, so we went to the Disney Springs location.

The makeover started off in a little room with a big mirror. A "fairy godmother in training" sort of inspected the girls' hair. Morgan has really thick hair and Avery still has super fine baby hair.

Then, we got to watch a message from the fairy godmother. It was cute.

We went into the salon area where Savannah did Avery's hair and Kelsey did Morgan's hair. It was quite a production. First getting the hair all styled, then getting the pixie dust (aka loads of glitter) sprinkled all over their head. Then came the glitter nail polish and make-up. It was finished off with a face gem sticker. The girls got a kick out of the face shield they got to hold when they were being sprayed and glittered. (These pictures are all out of order, but you get the idea.)

After they are all "princess-ified", they do a little saying and then spin the girls around so they can see themselves in the mirror for the first time. I think Avery was a little bit in shock. Morgan just loved it!

We came back to the hotel and played in the sand for a bit. Morgan was determined to knock her bun out, I think! She's too active for a princess hairdo. Ha!

We had some princess downtime back in the hotel room to recharge for our night.

We got all dressed up for our afternoon/evening at Epcot. The girls wore their Tinkerbell dresses that Grandma and Grandpa got them for Christmas last year. These dresses light up and are adorable!

Our first stop in Epcot was a visit with Daisy Duck (short line!). Avery was really comfortable with the characters by the end of the week. Such a change from our first night of the vacation.

Our next stop in Epcot was the Frozen Ever After ride. This was the one thing the girls mentioned they wanted to do when we talked about Disney. They had heard about this ride from friends at school. We had a FP, but the ride had just been shut down temporarily before we got there. So, the line was really short for both standby and FP. There is usually an hour+ wait for this ride.

Apparently, they take your picture on this ride, which we weren't aware of until the flash went off. This is so typical of our rides. Morgan spends the whole time with her hands on her ears just waiting for some loud scary noise. This picture is right after you get thrown backwards and then you go forward down a small drop and splash into water at the bottom. Avery was kind of freaking a little that the ride was going fast, so I was hugging her. I love the picture of the baby in the front row! Matt got soaked on this ride, probably because no one was in front of him. We all loved the ride!

After the ride, we saw the line for meeting Anna and Elsa was only a 15 minute wait, so we got in line. Morgan made a few comments about being worried that Elsa would freeze her, but I thought she was just joking. Turns out, she was really scared. We met Anna first and the whole time, Morgan was keeping an eye on Elsa across the room. When we got to Elsa, Morgan wouldn't go stand next to her. This is such a departure from every other character meet-n-greet she did. I told Else that she was just scared of getting frozen and Elsa was really nice and talked her through it. Eventually, Morgan warmed up to Elsa and even gave her a hug on our way out.

While we waited for our dinner reservation, we walked around the world showcase. Matt and I sampled some beers, while the girls got to meet Jasmine and Snow White. Snow White talked in a high voice like you hear in the movie. Avery thought this was funny.

We checked in for our princess dinner at Akershus. The girls got their autograph books all ready while we waited.

We first got to meet Belle in the entryway before sitting at our table. The girls both had so much to tell Belle. Mainly about their princess hairdos. Morgan told Belle she looks like her and has the same hair color and hairdo. I don't know what all else was said but we had to pull them away from her because they would not stop talking! Ha!

We were seated in the middle dining room. The meal is an appetizer buffet, a meal you order off a menu and then they bring you an assortment of desserts family style to share at your table. The food was Norwegian and not too bad. The girls had regular food off the kids menu. All of the princesses stopped at our table before we got our entrees, so that was nice. We met Snow White (again), Ariel, Cinderella and Aurora. The girls had lots of questions for Ariel about why she had feet.

After the princesses had made their rounds, they did a princess parade and all the kids got to walk around the room with the princesses. Morgan was selected to walk first and got to hold Snow White's hand. She was in heaven!

After dinner, the girls were exhausted. We made our way back to the front of Epcot. The light up dresses were a hit! We got one last picture and headed back to bed!
