Happy Easter

The girls got Easter "bags" this year and searched for 50 eggs the Easter bunny hid. They found 49 easily and had to have a little help for #50. The eggs had "money" in them this year and both girls came out with a good haul! I'm sure it will be used for Starbucks or Scooby's runs and gone before they know it!

They got the squishy butter, but Milo really wanted it for himself.

Some of the eggs were hidden in plain sight.

Some were hidden where Morgan's height was helpful!

Milo kept watch throughout the egg search!

Of course, he had to get some snuggles. He missed us while we were away!

Then, we went to Uncle Brett and Aunt Sanid's house for another fun Easter celebration.

The girls loved hanging out with Ruby and Amber.

There was an egg scavenger hunt where each kiddo had a different egg shape. Avery's were glitter. Each egg had puzzle pieces. At the end after all the eggs were created, the kids put together their puzzles. There were a few extra pieces in each kid's eggs. Those pieces were used to create a separate puzzle with a clue to finding their loot.

Avery got started on the extra puzzle because she finished her puzzle first.

The creepy bunny, Baxter, was behind all the mayhem!

The clue said to go where the clothes tumble... so they all ran to the laundry room!

They finally found their prizes!

Um, the bunny on these notes was really creepy! Like the making of a nightmare!

Such a fun Easter and a pretty day outside!

Happy Easter!

We started Easter off with an egg hunt at our house. The girls got Easter "baskets", which were bags for the pool filled with all kinds of fun summer stuff. Then, we finally found all of the eggs, which were filled with candy and cash!

Excited to get a new Owalla water bottle

Milo wanted some gifts, too!

Missed the two eggs right behind her!

Morgan found her eggs super fast!

After the fun at our house, we drove to Brett's for Easter Brunch and a fun egg hunt. Each kiddo had a different color/shape of egg with clues leading to the next egg. Each egg had puzzle pieces that the kids put together.

Here's Brett explaining the rules

Avery was first to finish her puzzle

They even had puzzles for the adults

Papa helped Calvin with his puzzle

Erin had to hide her pieces from Ruby

Avery's puzzle

Morgan's puzzle

Avery's cookie - the cookie was still a little warm and the icing melted some! :)

We celebrated Sandi and Brett's birthdays

Erin found the cutest little bags

Bombastic side-eye (tried to get a picture of her and Grayson but she would not cooperate)

Dessert time!

Such a fun time as always! Too bad the weather was so crappy that we couldn't get outside this year! We're all looking forward to the summer swim parties at Uncle Brett's house! :)

Fun with cousins

On Saturday, we hung out at the Wilkens for a bit. Morgan got to play basketball with Grayson and Hunter, while Avery helped Grandma make a cake and cookie for the Easter party the next day. Later, Morgan stuck around to help dye Easter eggs.

Friday off school

The girls had Good Friday off school. Morgan was already bored by 8:30AM, so she went with the boys to the Y to shoot some hoops.

When she got home, Milo needed some attention! He's such a baby!

Avery and her friends had planned a little Easter party where they did a "Secret Bunny" Easter basket swap. Of course, they all already knew who got their names because they are terrible at keeping secrets!

Avery got Caroline's name and this is the basket she put together for her.

They swapped baskets at Katherine and Elise's house.

Bianca brought fizzy lemonade for the girls to drink!

They also had an Easter egg hunt outside and played volleyball. Avery had a blast!

We wrapped up our Friday with piano lessons and duet rehearsal for Avery. Matt got to chauffeur Avery around, which I took Morgan to her soccer game.

Morgan's team lost 4-0... very disappointing. 75% of the game was played by our goal, so Morgan got a lot of action when she was goalie in the first half. They scored on her twice, both great plays by the other team. She had quite a few saves and defended a lot of corner kicks. We were down a few players and only had one sub. And our team was just not as fast as the other team tonight. This is our first time playing in the NPL, which is a step up competitively compared to our last season. So, we weren't expecting to win a lot. But, I think now we're just hoping the girls win at least ONE game! Ugh. Morgan and I grabbed dinner at Weber Grill on our way back into town. It was nice to spend a little one-on-one time with her! :)

Happy Easter!

The girls were still recovering from vacation, so we slept in a little bit on Easter. After we convinced Morgan to get up, the girls found their Easter baskets and searched for eggs.

Even Milo helped find eggs!

The eggs were filled with special coupons for things the girls love - Starbucks, Sephora, money for their games, later bedtimes, etc!

Milo wanted to help open the eggs, too!

Avery with her GRWM gear she got in her Easter basket.

Then, we headed off to Brett's house for Easter celebrations. They have hosted the past few years and the kids always have a blast! They had their traditional tie-dyed waffles for the kids! Then, there was a scavenger hunt! Each kid had different figures to find and there were clues in each one to find the next.

All of the little figures were filled with puzzle pieces. Once they found all of them, they had to put the puzzles together.

Each kiddo had a puzzle with their cartoon character on it! They were adorable!

Avery finished first, so she helped Calvin with his puzzle.

Here are all the puzzles (the extra kiddo is Sandi's nephew Owen).

They had the kids flip over the puzzles to reveal a scrambled word that they needed to figure out as a clue for their next adventure. Avery guessed it pretty quickly - backyard!

The kids ran to the backyard to find eggs filled with silly string! Then, they had a silly string fight!

The kids played basketball for more prizes!

So much fun at Uncle Brett's house! We headed home and got ready to start back at school the next day. Avery used her new eye mask from her Easter basket. Here she is getting ready for bed!
