Snow Day

 The girls were excited to see it had snowed while we were gone!

Trip to Mama and Papa's house

While Matt was busy working, the girls and I went to my parents house in Rochester for a few days to hang out with all the cousins. The kids had such a blast and were so sad to come home!

Lego Day

The day after Christmas was Lego day at our house. The girls put together their new Lego sets and played with them all day.

We were up before the girls... again! Of course, Matt gets up super early in general, so not really a surprise. :) This year, the girls are really into Barbie and American Girl. Morgan still loves horses and Avery still loves crafts and girly things. They got quite an assortment of different gifts this year.

The girls got Matt a special gift this year and were bursting to have him open it. I thought for sure Morgan will tell him before Christmas what we got. She can't keep a secret to save her life!

After lunch, my family came over to exchange presents and have Christmas dinner. It's always so crazy and fun for everyone!

Christmas Eve

We started off the day with our last visit from Twinkle Toes. The girls love searching for her each morning. She told them they could give her a hug good-bye tonight and send her on her way until next year.

Matt prepping lasagna for Christmas Day

We spent Christmas Eve at the Wilkens' house for an ugly Christmas sweater party. 

They had some fun glasses that made everything upside down! The kids all had a blast trying to give each other high fives and writing on paper. I'm pretty sure I would have gotten dizzy!

After dinner, Papa read everyone a story before we headed home to wait for Santa to come.

At home, we gave Twinkle Toes a hug good-bye and got all ready for bed.

Our neighborhood put out the luminaries again this year. It's always so beautiful to come home and see the streets lit up.

We set out some milk and cookies for Santa and put Twinkle Toes in bed. Time for our last sleep before Santa comes!

 

A warm day and bubbles!

It was unseasonably warm, so we decided to have a bubble party outside with the cousins. So much fun!
