Cinderella and her prince

Weekend in Rochester

We spent the past weekend in Rochester for the sesquicentennial celebration.  The kids had such a great time hanging out with their cousins and playing in the huge dirt pile in the backyard at my parents' house. They are adding on a sunroom and the backyard is kind of a mess. :)

Playing on the dirt pile

Lots of dirt pile fun

We took the kiddos over to the school to play at the park and ride bikes. Erin decided to let Beckett ride Grayson's bike that has no training wheels. He took to it instantly! Of course, Morgan seeing this decides she is just going to ride her bike with no training wheels, too. She used Avery's bike and took off, too! Can't be outdone by your younger cousin, that's for sure!

There was a carnival with a few rides and games that the kids loved. While we were there, it wasn't too crowded, so we didn't have to wait for many rides.

There were even horse rides for the kiddos!

We played a few minutes at the park, too. So much fun!

We stayed at a hotel on Saturday night since the house was packed. The girls loved getting a chance to swim.

Avery missed Daddy, who stayed back in DG for the weekend.

Morgan was exhausted by all the fun!

We also celebrated our September birthdays with some cake and homemade ice cream!

Seriously, all we need is a dirt pile... so much cheaper than a huge playset! ;)

More swimming on Sunday morning before checking out.

Of course, they had to collect as many grasshoppers as they could!

The girls were sad to leave as it was such a fun weekend. We stopped off at a McDonald's with a playplace on our way home.

Just another day in first grade

Avery is quite the "fashionista" picking out her clothes each day. I never know what she's going to come up with!

Morgan likes to show off her super strength! Ha!

Life is rough for giraffes

Morgan: Come see my zoo, Mommy. The lion and tiger are friends in my zoo!
Me: Oh, and I see the giraffe is also a friend of theirs.
Morgan: No, mommy. That's their food!

Yikes!

Happy Birthday to me!

Family pictures

We always get family pictures taken while in New Buffalo. Here are a few from this year's photo shoot!
