A few pics from the past week

The girls had a lunch date with Daddy at the Yard House while I was getting a haircut. They brought along a few friends with them! The Yard House is a favorite of the girls since they get these big chocolately rice krispie treats on a stick for dessert with their kids' meals.

The girls started tumbling again, so they were trying out their moves in the basement. Sometimes, they actually get along and look like they like each other! ;)

My little baker, Avery, making some cookies for us!

Morgan working on her reading log before bed.

Dress the Turkey Night

This is an annual tradition for the first graders at our elementary school. After school one night, the parents and kids get together to watch the first graders' play and then dress up a picture of a turkey. It's super cute and the kids had a lot of creative ideas. There were quite a few superheroes and football players!

Avery made her turkey into an artist. Morgan's was an ice cream cone. Love them both!

Just a girl and her sunset

Avery loves sunsets. We were leaving Hobby Lobby the other night and she got so excited and said "take my picture!"

Leaves

After the snow finally melted, we had a lot of leaves to rake up. The girls mainly just jumped in them while Daddy raked.

Do you see Morgan in this picture? Look for the teal glove sticking up!

Grayson's birthday party

Grayson had his 7th birthday party at Get Air like the girls. Matt even got in on the dodgeball game! Erin had bright green jerseys for the kids, so we could keep track of who was at the party.

Halloween

It's beginning to look a lot like... Halloween?!? We got pummeled with snow right in time for trick-or-treating!

This is what happens when the leaves haven't had a chance to fall off before the first snow hits. The tree that is normally much higher was so weighed down, it was practically on our deck!

Walking to school on Halloween morning in snow gear - crazy!

Halloween snowman building!

Getting ready to trick-or-treat. It was cold and snowing, but that didn't stop us!

Avery loves her new onesie

Tea Party

What do you do when you are bored at home and can't think of anything to do??? Have a tea party, of course. :) I made little menus for the girls and pretended to be their waitress. I even wrote up a bill for them that they each signed. They got a kick out of it!

1st Grade School Pictures

School pictures came home the other day. I noticed Avery was bright red in her picture and Morgan looked like she just ran a marathon or something. I asked the girls about it and Avery said they had their pictures taken right after they came in from recess. Hmmm, that explains it!

Pumpkin carving

We got some free pumpkins from the girls' bank, so we decided to carve them up! Morgan wanted a Wonder Woman pumpkin and Avery wanted hers to say "BOO".

No surprise, Morgan loved this activity! She dug right in and grabbed all the "guts" of the pumpkin out!

Avery, on the other hand, was not so into the messiness of the carving process!

We gave her the spoon, but even that was too gross for her!

So, Daddy took over her carving station.

The finished products were great!
