Oh, just hit "reply to all"
Today, when I got into work, I had 86 new emails. This is WAY more than I usually have. Apparently, someone sent an email to a distribution list that included the entire company without knowing it. Then, people kept "replying to all" asking why they had received the email or asking to be removed from the email distribution list or commenting that they, too, had recieved the email (my favorite). In addition, we had 3 other emails from people (one from our tech group) saying to stop "replying to all". The word stop was in red and bold! That didn't stop some people, though. Seriously, what is wrong with people?!? I mean, I get it if the first few people screw this up... but, after you've personally received 50+ emails, do you really think the best thing to do is to "reply to all" again? I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they just automatically responded before getting through the rest of their emails. Otherwise, we work with a bunch dummies. Geez!

Ploth-zero-w
I think I may be looking at too many numbers these days! Twice on the phone today I had to spell out my last name. The first time I spelled it, when I got to the second "o", I said "zero". Really?!? There is not a "zero" in my last name... where is that coming from??? The woman I was talking to just started laughing. I tried to play it off and said I was reading something else while I was talking to her. Then, later, I was spelling my name for the TW helpdesk and when I got to the "o", I almost did it again! I caught myself and stuttered out the "o". Ugh. TGIF.

I am an idiot
I left the office for about 20 minutes today to run an errand. When I got back, I could not log back into my computer. I could NOT get my password right! It's very similar to the passwords I use for Gmail and Yahoo mail and I kept trying different variations. I ended up locking myself out of my computer! Ugh!
About 15 minutes later and after a conversation with our help desk in Mumbai, I am back on.
And of course, 30 seconds after that, I remembered my password.

Umm... you have to be kidding me.
For some reason, I am unable to log into my retirement benefits at work today. I used to be able to. Can't anymore. Doesn't recognize my employee ID. So strange.
I need to update my beneficiary to be Matt. I'm getting these emails/letters in the mail that I am not allowed to have someone other than my husband as a beneficiary unless I have him sign a form.
At the bottom of the login screen, there is a number to call for help (exact words are: "If you need help accessing the system, please contact the Towers Perrin Benefits Service Center at 800-...")
I call the number, the woman on the phone gives me a big sigh and says "Oh, I hate these kind of questions (more sighing) because I don't know the answer". Really? Isn't this your job? Did I dial the wrong number? She tells me she has to talk to someone else and they'll call me back tomorrow. She doesn't even TRY to help me.
Before she hangs up on me, I tell her that all I really need is to update the beneficiary information on my account. I figure, this is the Benefits Service Center, right? She says "Oh, I don't know how to do that either". She seriously said that to me. I almost wanted to say, what CAN you do? Besides pick up a phone and say your name?
