We had a great time in the Dominican Republic!
We soaked up the rays at the pool and the beach, read some books and relaxed!
Matt enjoyed the swim-up bar in the pool... the drinks were really strong!

| The spa staff handed out cucumber slices for our eyes - very refreshing! |
 |
| Nice, Matt! |
We saw some cool shows put on the by the entertainment staff. Our favorites were the Cirque de Soliel type show and the fire show/bonfire.
We had some fun dinners at the resort. Our favorite place was definitley the Japanese hibachi restaurant. We ate there twice!
 |
| Drinking the "mama juana" = rum + red wine + honey soaked in sticks for a few days |
 |
| Erin got to cook for us the first night we were there |
 |
| They made me cook the next time we went |
 |
Our chef balanced two forks on two toothpicks on a wine bottle - crazy!
This is Brielle - she was doing her own tricks with spoons in the background! |
The guys enjoyed the "casino", which had a couple blackjack tables, a roulette wheel and some slot machines. It was connected to a dance club. Ross and I got massages at the spa one day. I think I should schedule more of those back here in Chicago! We liked the lobby bar and hung out there a few nights before/after dinner.
 |
| Chocolates and liqueurs in the lobby bar - yum! |
All too soon, we had to head back to reality...
