The summer flew by and now we're back to school. The girls are big first graders now! :) They were really excited to get back to school and see their friends every day again. This year we decided to separate the girls, so we have one in each of the 1st grade classes. We'll see how it goes! I can see the benefits of keeping them together or separating them. We asked them and they both said they'd like to be in different classes, so that helped us to decide as well. Avery was really happy because two of her best friends ended up in her class. Two girls that Morgan plays with a lot ended up in her class, so she was happy.
(Morgan is in the process of losing her other front tooth and it is hanging on by a thread. So, she looks like a goober in most of her back to school pictures. Ha!)
They are getting so independent these days. They would walk to school on their own if we let them.
Daddy helped carry the big boxes of school supplies to school on the first day.
After school, we went to Cocomero for some frozen yogurt with loads of yummy toppings! We even ran into another girl from Avery's class. Both girls said they had a good first day and liked their teachers. We'll see how the rest of the year goes! :)
