A visit from the grandparents

Matt's dad and stepmom Marcia were in town from Utah for a few days and we got to spend some time with them. We took them to our favorite frozen yogurt shop before they had to head back to the airport.

Easy bake

Avery and Morgan love watching kid cooking shows on their kindles, so we brought out the easy bake oven and made some "pretzels". They had fun and said the pretzels were really good. Of course, I covered them in cinnamon and sugar like Auntie Anne's, so I'm sure that had something to do with it.

Fox cutie

Morgan just loves her fox stuffy and now she has a matching fox dress!

Halloween Decorations

This year, the girls really wanted to decorate a little outside for Halloween. Matt, on the other hand, does not like outside Halloween decorations. He said we are not hanging anything outside on the house. So, this is what the girls and I got! We also had one of those light projectors with flying witches that I aimed at our garage door. :)

Lost tooth... I mean teeth!

Avery had a loose tooth for a while. She was under the impression that it would just fall out when it was ready and we really didn't push her to actually pull it out herself. She was really worried that it would hurt and bleed if she pulled it out. Of course, Morgan was giving Avery all kinds of advice since she has already lost TWO teeth and was therefore an expert. :)

But, one night at dinner, Avery's tooth was practically out. We told her to grab a Kleenex and pull it out. So, she walked over and that was that. Her first tooth was out and she was SOOOO excited! She had been telling us for months what she wants the tooth fairy to bring her when she lost her first tooth (a mermaid tail blanket), so we were ready!

Then, four short days later, out came her second tooth! I think she was worried she looked funny with both teeth gone and refused to let me take a picture of her right afterwards. I did get a shot of her with her tooth fairy pillow later.

The tooth fairy left her a fuzzy unicorn journal, which she adores. She's already used the pink pen that came with so much that the ink is gone. :)

A crafty Saturday

We are always on the search for something fun to do around town. So a few Saturdays ago, we started off by painting storefront windows in downtown DG (with about every other child under the age of 6 in our town - ha!)

Then, we went to Michael's to make little spider web crafts and pick up some supplies to do our own crafts at home.

Pumpkins

We decided to get crafty with our Rice Krispie treats and make little pumpkins. I think they turned out really cute! Of course, Matt came home and said "what are those supposed to be?" Ha!
