So many leaves

Matt raked the leaves in the backyard, so of course the kids wanted to play! We invited the cousins over to play as well. There was even a tug of war game!

Then, the next day after Matt had raked up all the leaves, it was super windy again and the rest of the leaves all fell. Looks like he didn't even rake the day before!

Happy Anniversary!

We celebrated 11 years on November 7th! The girls made us a beautiful sign and had a party for us. :) It was a pool party, which is why they are wearing swim suits in the picture. Ha!

Daddy got some awesome flowers for me! The girls were impressed!

Since we couldn't go out to a restaurant, Matt made steaks for us and we drank some red wine at home!

Another trip to Gilbert Park to hike around the trails. This time we met up with the boys. Such a beautiful day!

Night by the fire

The weather has been gorgeous this week! We decided to have a fire pit on Friday night. We had hot dogs and s'mores, of course! Since we had some Reese Peanut Butter Cups from Halloween, we decided to up our s'mores game! :) Well, Morgan stuck to the traditional Hershey's chocolate. Avery and I used peanut butter cups for our "chocolate"... it was delicious!

So messy!

Visit to the eye doctor

The girls and Matt had their eyes tested last weekend. Morgan had failed the eye test at the pediatrician at her 8 year old check up, so I thought for sure she'd need glasses. But, turns out the girls and Matt all have good eyes and don't need glasses right now. Considering I am practically blind, I'm jealous!

The girls were really disappointed about not getting glasses (I told them they really shouldn't be!). I had been thinking about getting those blue light glasses, so I ordered some of those for them to have some "glasses" to wear. They love them! Not sure if they really help, but can't hurt!

Creative ways to trick or treat

I grabbed a few of these pics from FB because I want to remember how people adapted to the situation and made the best of it!

Halloween!

This year we decided to forgo the trick-or-treating and just get together with the cousins for a party. Aunt Erin did such a great job making the kids forget they weren't outside trick-or-treating! She had games, a scavenger hunt, pumpkins to paint, crafts, fun foods and goodies and SO MUCH CANDY! The girls had so much fun... I really hope they don't expect this every year! :)

Getting the unicorn hair ready!

Matt's costume came together at the last minute and was perfect!

Superfan!

Morgan put on Grayson's Pennywise mask - scary!

Calvin was so cute as Rubble!

Erin had so many fun games for the kiddos to play!

And some fun crafts!

Morgan and Papa!

The kids sitting patiently waiting for the clues to the scavenger hunt!

They found the prize!

Morgan got the soccer Barbie she wanted (Alex Morgan doll)!

Avery helped make "mummy dogs" for dinner!

Morgan borrowing Uncle Brett's costume!

The kids all ready for the trick-or-treating (around the house).

So much candy - everyone got a good haul to bring home!

Erin had little pumpkins for the kids to paint.

And some big ones for Papa to carve. They wanted him to use the drill. If you see in this picture, poor Calvin has the worst spot, all the stuff was spraying in his face and he was trying to take cover! :)

And just for fun... here I am wearing Ross' Fred Flintstone hat!
