No cavities!

Morgan had a dentist appointment today... and what's the best way to celebrate no cavities??? A big ice cream treat from Eiffel Waffle, of course!

Braces are off!

Avery had been counting down to this day for a while now! She was feeling a little better and didn't want to miss her orthodontist appointment, so we went. It was pretty quick and easy to get the braces off. She didn't like all the pictures they had to take of her mouth afterwards though. Her first things she wanted to eat with her new freedom... rice krispie treats and gum!

She has a retainer to wear for now. She will eventually need braces again once her teeth fall out/come back in. But, the whole expander/braces process has hopefully given her mouth enough room to fit those new teeth all in relatively straight. She will still have the overbite until then (they fix overbites when they are older - which is why Morgan did not have to go through any of this now).

Happy Easter!

Our Easter was a little quiet this year. Avery was still sick and running a fever, so she didn't get to come along to celebrate at my brother's house with the family. She rallied in the morning to collect her eggs, but then spent the rest of the day napping and watching movies on the couch with Daddy. :(

There were TWO egg hunts at Uncle Brett's house! The backyard was from Grandma and Grandpa - they had different colored eggs for each kiddo and a special egg for each to find.

Then, in the front yard, Aunt Sandi had set up a fun egg hunt with different colored eggs for each kiddo as well. The eggs either had candy or a number. If you had an egg with a number, you had to go find the bag with that number on it to claim your prize! She made the kids shirts and water bottles with their names on them... and they got all kinds of fun prizes! The kids loved it!

Perfect for this Marinette loving Lady Bug fan!

We also sang Happy Birthday to Aunt Sandi
(these candles have flames the color of the candles - so strange!)

Back at home, Avery did not feel well. Poor thing had a pretty bad cold with a cough. We tested her for Covid and it was negative. Lots of kids had the same thing in her class, so we just had to let it run it's course. :(

She was really sad, so Aunt Erin dropped off a bag of goodies with cards from everyone!

We brought home all of the eggs Avery would have found at the Easter Egg hunts at Aunt Sandi's for her to open. She went through them and made a "you tube" video with her video camera for her "followers". Ha!

Yum!

Avery wasn't feeling well, so Matt took Morgan out to lunch at Panera. She likes to get something sweet for dessert there. Today she picked out this chocolate croissant!

Day off lunch out

The girls had Good Friday off, so we went out to lunch at Weber Grill. We were pretty much the only people there!

Easter Egg Hunt

The neighborhood near the school has an Easter Egg Hunt every year for the kiddos and they invite all the kids from the school district. It's broken up by age group. The girls are now 9, so they were in the oldest age group. Some of their friends are still 8, so they were in the middle age group.

They pick up empty eggs and turn them in for candy and prizes. It was SO windy that the empty eggs were blowing all over the place! The kids still had a blast and got lots of candy!

A little more freedom

Milo has been enjoying his extra freedom on the first floor these days. He has all the carpet to lay on and his comfy bed, but still chooses to nap on the hard wood floor. Ha!

He did eventually go sleep in his bed. :)
