Another busy day! At least today it was nicer... well, actually, it was really hot! What a change from the day before!

Morgan subbed on the Black#2 team at 10:30. She played goalie for them. They ended up losing 5-1. But, the team they played was playing below their level, so it could have been much worse! I guess they had won their first three games with a combined score of 24-0. Morgan did really well at goalie and had some good saves.

Then, the Black#1 team had their game on the same field right afterwards. Morgan barely had time to cool off before starting the next game! On this team, she plays offense. They won 1-0.

We dropped Avery off at HSM Jr rehearsal and grabbed some lunch. Morgan finally cooled off!

After Avery's rehearsal, we were off to our third soccer game of the day! This time it was for Avery's team. They had enough players, so they didn't need Morgan to sub (which was good because she was exhausted from playing in the heat two games earlier in the day!) Luckily, it had cooled off a little bit by 4:30 when Avery's game started. The other team was down a few players, so we ended up playing with less also (so there were plenty of subs). Avery played both offense and defense. They tied 2-2.

I really need to remember to take some game pictures. Here are the only pictures I got from the day... a couple of hot, exhausted girls after their games! :)

Saturday

It was a busy Saturday... a few soccer games, a couple birthday parties, new shoes and pizza with grandma and grandpa at the Wilken's house.

Morgan had a soccer game at 8:00 in Oak Park, which is about 30 minutes away from us. So, that was an early morning! Her team won 5-1 and she scored one of the goals. Then, we headed back to DG for Avery's soccer game. Turns out, they needed some help so Morgan ended up playing in Avery's game as well. Avery's team won 5-3. Morgan scored two goals in that game, but played defense for a lot of the game. Avery's game was a rainy one! I keep forgetting to take pictures at the games!

A friend of Avery's, Neena, had a birthday/going away party at the roller rink. Neena is moving to South Carolina at the end of the school year. Neena and Avery are in the same class and are in High School Musical Jr together.

Morgan also had a birthday party for another friend, Lizzie. They made bath bombs at a local boutique. Lizzie is a good friend of both girls and does karate with Morgan. No pictures from that party, though.

After the party, Morgan went with Matt to pick out some new soccer shoes. She has literally worn her current ones out. They are tearing apart at the seams. She's tough on shoes, especially ones she wears so much! When she got home, she had to test out her new shoes and break them in (of course!)

And here's just a little silly picture of our baby, Milo. Avery put her sunglasses on him and said "leave it". He stood there for about 3 seconds before flinging them off! But, he earned his treat!

My parents were in town celebrating Beckett and Hunter's 1st communion, so we went over to Erin's house for pizza for dinner. It was a really nice night!

4th Grade Bowling Party

The 4th grade had a bowling party at the Tivoli. I think about 30 of the 50 kids showed up, so there was a pretty good turnout! The kids bowled, had pizza, played the arcade games and then just ran around being silly!

Milo hadn't been to the groomer in a while! He got sick soon after the last time he was groomed. Then, he finally got healthy and we went on Spring Break. Then, we just have been busy! But, finally, he got his hair cut. We went with a shorter 'do with the upcoming warmer weather, so all his curls are gone for now!

Happy birthday Brett & Sandi!

We celebrated Brett and Sandi's birthdays this past weekend at our house. Matt made some pulled pork and the girls helped grandma make and decorate the cakes!

Aunt Erin was having a blast with the snapchat filters. Here is Avery as a boy! :)

So many candles on the cakes... Milo freaked out and ran over to be by Matt! That dog is such a baby!

As always, it was a fun, loud, chaotic, crazy time with family! Everyone had a fun time!

Spring soccer... ugh!

Avery's team had a game this past weekend and it was miserable. It sleeted sideways and was freezing cold! I tried to get a video, but it doesn't even give you the full feel of the yuckness that they had to play in!

Dollar eater

The other day, my mom says "what's that dog got in his mouth?" I'm looking down and I say "oh, he's just licking the floor", which he has been known do to... that and the cabinets, the walls... the dog is weird. Anyway, we see there is actually something in his mouth and we pull part of it and realize it's a dollar! We got the rest of it out, too. But, why? I can't imagine that tastes good. Gross!
