Opening Night!

Rehearsals during the week were long and exhausting! Things finally started coming together on Thursday night, which is good since opening night was Friday night. Avery was so nervous and decided not to eat before the show, which turned out to be a bad idea (of course!) By intermission, she was feeling really sick and was starving! She made it through the show, but we had to stop at the McDonald's drive through on the way home! :)

Meet Lucky!

Morgan's class got a new pet since their old gecko, Blue, passed away. This one is named "Lucky" and is about 3 months old. Morgan was holding Lucky and she ran up into her hair and tried to hide!

 

It's Tech Week!!!

We're counting down until opening night! This week Avery has rehearsals every night to prep for the big weekend of three shows! She's so excited!

Nexstar Dance Competition

Avery's first dance competition was today. We had to get there by 8:30 and it was about 45 minutes away from our house in Oswego. We got up pretty early to get hair and make-up all ready before leaving. Avery was definitely nervous on the way there. She didn't want to eat much breakfast!

Avery's group danced to Let's Ride (a compilation of songs). They did great! They got a 1st in their category and a 1st overall! She had such a fun time!

Here's the dance. Avery starts out at the top right second girl in. Then, she leaves the stage. When she comes back on, she's on the left side. Then, she moved to the front right. It's kind of hard to follow her!

New 'do

Milo FINALLY got a haircut! Our groomer left the daycare, so we had to wait longer to get Milo in for an appointment. He got a little too scruffy! But, now he's all cleaned up and smelling good! :)

Dance Competition Rehearsal

Avery has her first dance team competition next weekend, so this weekend they had rehearsal all day Sunday. She had to be there by noon and wasn't finished until 8:30PM... such a long day! They had rehearsal until 4:00, then did 3 "parent" shows. Each parent show had a different group of parents invited based on last name. We were invited to the 7:00PM show.

We had to do full hair and make-up for rehearsal.

Lunch at the Driftwood

Morgan got to pick our lunch spot today because Avery was at rehearsal. So, we went to Driftwood. She was really excited to see this giant chair out front and of course, wanted a picture!
