Happy Birthday!

We celebrated Matt's birthday with lunch at Gia Mia. The girls had activities that night so we couldn't go out for dinner. After they got home, we had cake and opened his present, a new air fryer! I can't wait to try this thing out!

Only had a 4 and 6, so we turned it upside down!

Pool time!

We met up with the boys at the pool for a bit to cool off. It rained off and on.

Erin and I packed up the stuff while the kids headed out of the pool. They pretended to be asleep waiting for us outside - ha!

Block Party

There was a block party on 5th street where the girls' friend Lizzie lives. So, she invited them to come and they had a blast! When we got there, they were just getting ready for a water balloon fight.

Then, they did the dunk chair. Morgan loved this thing and sat in the chair multiple times!

After this, Morgan ran home and put on some dry clothes. Once she got back, they did pinatas. They broke the kids up into three groups so the little kids wouldn't get trampled by the big kids! They lined up by height and Morgan was the tallest!

They finally got the candy to fall out!

Then, of course, the best part... trading candy!

We went to the pool for a bit after the block party too cool off - it was so hot! Morgan went back to the block party after dinner for fireworks and Ghosts in the Graveyard.

Dance Team Boot Camp

To kick off the new season of competition dance, DPDC holds a weeklong boot camp. They learn dances for their competitions during the week. Avery is doing lyrical, jazz and hip hop this year with the team. Then, on Friday, they can audition for duets/trios. Avery did a duet last year and wanted to try out again this year for one.

They give out awards at the end of each day. She got a leadership award one of the days!

One of the mornings while I was doing Avery's hair, Milo made himself comfortable in her lap. He's such a big baby!

We found out she was chosen for a lyrical trio for the competitions this year! And she was really excited to see that Miss Alexa was choreographing the dance! :)

S'mores by the fire

It was a nice night, so we decided to have a fire pit and make s'mores.

Afterwards, we were sitting by the fire and Avery says "um, is it supposed to be on fire UNDER the firepit?" Well, it's not! This hasn't happened before!
