Kropscott Family Reunion

This year, we went to Burr Oak State Park in Glouster, OH for the Kropscott Family Reunion. Since it was quite a long drive for us, we decided to break it up and make a stop off in Indianapolis both ways.

We arrived in Indy on Wednesday late afternoon. Our hotel was right downtown, so we explored the area a little.

Can you see the girls?!?
We ate dinner at the Yardhouse, which is one of Matt's favorite places to go for a drink when we are in Vegas. The girls loved their desserts - Morgan got a rice krispie treat with Oreos mixed in that was awesome.

I-I-ndy, but who's checking their spelling!

For some reason the girls loved stopping at all the bus stops for a picture. Too funny what strikes their fancy!

On Thursday, we went to the Indianapolis Children's Museum before heading the rest of the way to Ohio. This museum was amazing! We could have spent many more hours there than we did. The highlights were the carousel, the circus exhibit and the playscape section.

Avery said to me - "mommy, let's take a selfie" - ha!

Huge dollhouses!

Morgan actually kissed this trophy - not sure where she saw that before, but it was funny!

Morgan is SO into superheroes right now - she was in awe!

Super strong!

Morgan climbed to the ship at the top, too!

Lots of winding roads and our GPS got a little confused, but we finally made it to Burr Oak State Park! We grabbed dinner at the restaurant and silliness ensued! Too much time in the car!

We got the girls some cotton candy and let them try it. I don't think they'd ever had it before. Needless to say, they were big fans! Morgan said it tasted like feathers!

We spent most of our time exploring the area, swimming in the indoor pool and hanging out with Matt's family. There was even a small mini golf course that the kids had a blast playing at.

Getting tips from Daddy

They were unhappy that the balls were gone at the end
Morgan is obsessed with Jeeps - this is Matt's cousin's Jeep, so we had to get a picture!

Morgan got to play tennis with Daddy while Avery and mommy rested

Matt's family reserved the bonfire area and we toasted marshmallows and had s'mores. The girls got to play with Max (black dog) and Duke (blond dog).

Matt's aunt set up a scavenger hunt for the kids to do while the guys were golfing. The girls first had to decorate their collection bags with stickers!

Matt had fun golfing with the guys.

Then, we played more mini golf. Look at Avery here... she saw Addison with her sweatshirt tied around her waist and asked me to do the same for her. :)

At meals, we let the kids have our phones to play games or watch shows. They also love to take pictures. We usually end up with a ton of pics of the ceiling, but some turn out good.

Matt's cousin rented a pontoon boat and took everyone out for a ride around the lake. There had been a ton of rain right before we got there, so the dock was partially underwater. Morgan and Avery both got turns driving the boat.

Quite a hike back up the hill after the boat ride!

Before we left, we took a bunch of family photos.
