Race Day #1

I signed the girls up for this running club for kids called Healthy Kids Running Series. They have five races on Sunday mornings and the first one was this weekend. The girls age group runs a quarter mile race. The park where they run was a complete muddy mess due to all the rain we've had this past week. The girls ended up pretty gross by the end of the race!

Ready for the race!

Bibs on and ready to go!

Warming up with the volunteers

And the after shot of their backs... just a little muddy! :)
Morgan sprinted the race and got out of breath and did not like that feeling. She said she couldn't breath and it scared her. So, we're going to work on pacing and endurance. Avery did better at pacing herself; started out slower and even fell in the mud once, but didn't need to stop at all and ended up finishing right with her sister. We're hoping that the next race will be less muddy!

Park play date with the Wilkens

We played at Whittier with the Wilken boys. The kids decided to decorate the bench. :)

Seriously... stop it with the snow!

This is April 27, 2019... what is going on?!?!?

Parade

The girls got to be in a parade to kick off the spring baseball/softball season in our town. Grayson was also in the parade with his baseball team.

The girls' softball team. We didn't have uniforms yet, so we just dressed warmly for the weather.

Cupcake party

As part of the PTA fundraiser, we won a cupcake party for the girls with one of the teachers at school. They got to decorate cupcakes and they really loved eating them!

Easter

We celebrated Easter morning at our house and then headed to Brett's for Easter lunch and more fun with the cousins.

This year, the Easter Bunny did a scavenger hunt with clues hidden in eggs around the house. The girls followed the clues inside and outside and finally found their treasures.

Morgan was super excited to get this Spirit Riding Free set. It's all she's been asking for!

Checking out their Easter Egg treasures.

My Dad got all the kiddos t-shirts from this convenience store in Texas that he went to recently.

Someone was really tired when we headed home!

First sign of Spring!

Got our annual load of mulch! Definitely a sign that the weather is changing and we are heading into Spring! :)
