We rented a house with the Wilkens' in Norton Shores, MI right by the lake for the week. The house had an indoor pool/hot tub, so we pretty much spent the whole week indoors at the house. The kids had fun hanging out together and swimming!

Hanging out in the hot tub
On a side note, there was some bacteria in the hot tub that caused the kiddos to break out in bumps. It affected the boys way worse than the girls. They were COVERED in the bumps! The girls had a few, but they went away fast. After about day 3, Erin called our pediatrician and no one was allowed back in the hot tub. :(

Morgan really improved on her diving skills throughout the week. She's not too scared to try anything, so she just goes for it!
Avery is a little more apprehensive about trying new things and jumping off the diving board was one of those things she just didn't want to do. Aunt Erin told her she would give her $20 if she jumped off the diving board. She even told her she could wear her life jacket. We eventually got Avery on the diving board, but she wouldn't jump off. Erin said she would jump in the water with her if Avery jumped in the pool off the board. But, Avery still wasn't going for it. So, I gave her a little push. She hated me for a minute, but managed to get over it. (She now tells everyone she "jumped" off the board on vacation - ha!) But, Aunt Erin stuck to her word and jumped in with Avery... fully clothed!
Dad-I-corn made an appearance!

Bloody Mary's - yum!
For April Fools Day, we decided to play a trick on the kids. There were keys to get into the pool, so Matt locked the doors and hid the keys! After breakfast when the kids were getting ready to swim, they realized the keys were missing - oh no! Avery kicked into full boss mode telling all the kids where to search and what to do. She's definitely take-charge! When they were running around the house, we stuck the keys back in the doors. It took them a few minutes to realize the keys were in the doors! We told them the keys were there all along and Avery just knew that wasn't true. She thought about it all day. She kept telling me her theories on what happened! Ha!
We kicked off Spring Break with another swim party at the swim school Nolan and Calvin go to. Sandi rented out the pool for the kiddos again and they loved it! We had whole place to ourselves for two hours!
The school board voted to have the kids go back to school for a longer period of time each day starting in April after Spring Break. Then, for full days starting in May. Well, then they came back and said they were going to accelerate this timing and have the kids go back full time starting in April after Spring Break! We are prepping for full time school again in a few weeks - yay! Of course, with this new schedule comes some changes. We found out on Friday that the girls are switching teachers... again. This will be teacher #3 for their 2nd grade year. We started out with Ms. Lundquist, then had Ms. Sullivan and now we will have Mr. Swade. Hopefully, we will finish off the year with Mr. Swade and full time school... no more changes, please! :)
Today, we checked out Waterfall Glen in Lemont. I have heard about this place, but we just have never made it there. The weather was gorgeous and the waterfall and scenery was beautiful! The girls had so much fun!
We made our own pizzas last night for dinner... Avery even tried a topping other than cheese on her pizza -pepperoni! She decided she liked to eat pepperoni off pizza better than on pizza. Oh well!
