Day off lunch at the Harvest

The girls had Friday off of school for a teacher day and parent/teacher conferences. So, Daddy took them to the Harvest for lunch!

 

Last soccer game of the season

It was a beautiful day for a soccer game! The girls had a large cheering section with Grandma Ruth and Mama and Papa all showing up to support them! They couldn't pull off a win, but Morgan did score a goal and Avery had a shot at goal. Avery was like a speed demon out there! The coach got them all trophies for working so hard during the season!

 

Stinker

This little stinker LOVES to be outside. But, as of right now, we can't let him just roam freely because he will eat dirt and grass and rocks and whatever else he can find. Ugh. He will keep ringing the bell to be let outside over and over... and it's annoying! So, I set up some gates outside and let him just chill on the deck. He loves it!

Check-up

The girls dread going for their check-up each year, mainly because they have to get blood taken from their finger and get a flu shot. It stresses them out SOOOOO much! But, they always leave the appointment saying "that wasn't so bad". It's like they forget each year that they said that.

Both girls are growing like weeds! Morgan is almost 4' 8" tall and weighs 64 lbs. Avery is 4' 6" and weighs 60 lbs. Morgan is in the 90th percentile for height and Avery is in the 70th. Morgan grew almost 3 inches and gained 8 pounds since last year! Avery grew 2.5 inches and gained 2 pounds since last year. I'm pretty sure Avery weighed more in March before she got her expander and braces put on. :(  So, I think that is why she did not gain as much weight as Morgan over the past year. Poor thing... we will all be so happy for her to get those braces off!

Well, at least they are off the hook for another year... unless the COVID shot becomes available for their age group and our pediatrician recommends they get it. We'll see how that goes.

Sammy Fund weekend

We went down to Quincy again this year for the Sammy Fund Golf Tournament. We got to see Chuck and June's new house! June was gone the first few days at a wedding out of town, but flew back on Sunday morning just in time to see the golfers finish up the tournament. As always, it's a fun weekend hanging out with family and friends. Matt gets to golf a lot and I get to do a little shopping! :) And of course, the girls have a blast hanging out with Mama and Papa for the weekend!

No Bloody Mary bar at the house, so we went out to Thyme Square for breakfast and Bloody Mary's!

While everyone was golfing, I was on pizza pick-up duty - 15 pizzas!

Sandi and Brett came over and the kiddos all decorated cookies... well, most of them were decorating. Morgan may have been eating along the way! :)

Aunt Erin curled Avery's hair. She wanted to try out a Hermione Granger hairdo for her upcoming Halloween costume.

It worked! Her hair was super curly!

Apparently, while Erin was curling Avery's hair, these two goobers found a dead mouse on the side of the house. Yuck!

Living her best life... extra whipped cream for her pancakes! They ate out at the Harvest!

And of course, we Facetimed with the girls... :)
