Last Day of School

We made it! The last day of school was a half day on Wednesday. 

Just a comparison to the beginning of year...

They were supposed to have an after school party but the weather was looking pretty iffy, so they downsized the party some. The kids got pizza and ice cream and there was a reptile show in the gym.  There was even a fun photo booth!

Afterwards, we had a cookout at our house with a couple of the girls friends' families. Matt made brisket and all the kiddos had a fun time. We lucked out that the rain stopped and they were able to do water balloons and giant bubbles after all!

New dishwasher

We FINALLY got our new dishwasher! Such an exciting day at our house! 3 weeks of hand washing dishes was no fun!

End of School Year

Bridging from Brownie to Girl Scout

Avery's troop held the bridging ceremony the other night to graduate to Girl Scouts. It was originally planned for the park, but the weather was iffy, so they moved it to the school. The weather ended up being ok so they were still able to do it outside.

Trivia Night

We signed up for a Trivia Night as a fundraiser for the Whittier PTA. We got paired up with another couple that lives over by us (on the east side of Fairview). We named our team Pepperidge Farm Estates because we live by Pepperidge Farms - ha! The couple that hosted did a great job with the questions and prizes and the whole event! We ended up getting 2nd place and winning a goodie bag from Trader Joe's!

No more cone!

Milo made it past the 10 day mark, so we were allowed to take the cone off (finally!) But, of course, Morgan wanted to try it on. Ha! She's such a goofball! She was really surprised how well his collar fit around her neck.

Our little author

I may have mentioned that Avery and her friend Maebel wrote a short story together and won for their grade level. They got to meet an actual author and have their stories published with the other winners in an actual book! Avery was really excited!
