The day after Christmas

It was a nice relaxing day without too much craziness! Milo was really upset still about being locked away in our bedroom on Christmas (he's just too crazy with all the people here). So, he just wanted to cuddle with us all day!

The girls got cozy in their new "oodies" for the day!

Christmas Day

Christmas morning, Morgan woke up at like 5:00 AM. She gave me a look like she had just eaten a bag of sugar - total wide eyes, huge grin, ready to go! I said we had to wait and to try to go back to sleep! I think we made it until 6:45-ish, which is not that bad.

Avery was feeling a little better Christmas morning, but we still wanted to make sure she was ok to be around everyone. Luckily, her Covid test came back negative!

Matt made us Bloody Mary's! Yum!

Morgan showing of her new Nike Airs - she has wanted these forever!

Our annual matching family Christmas PJ's picture!

We exchanged presents with Ruth in the morning and had brunch - breakfast casserole - yum! Then, we took a quick rest before the craziness! Everyone came over to our house in the afternoon to open presents and celebrate together.

In this bag is the best gift ever...

Ha!

My mom brought the "name" cookies for all the kids and adults! There were so many tasty goodies!

We had Peanuts holiday photo props and the kids all picked theirs out for a picture.

Then, they took a picture with their cookies (and ate them, too!)

We ate lasagna and had multiple pies - so delicious! The kids all took turns playing the piano (or the violin in Morgan's case) and we danced around! It was so loud! Ha!

Merry Christmas 2022!

I keep all of our past Christmas cards and put them up on the cabinet. The girls love to see how much they've changed over the years!

Christmas Eve

Matt made the lasagna for Christmas day. Our house smelled SOOOO good!

It was SO cold outside, but Milo still grabbed the ball and asked to play! He didn't spend a long time out there, though. His poor little paws were freezing! He spends most of the time eating/licking snow!

We spent Christmas Eve at Erin's house with her family and my parents. We wore festive holiday wear and had tacos and the kids played a very raucous game of Uno!

Poor Avery was not feeling well at all. She spent most of night napping off and on in the recliner. : (

When we got home, Morgan gave Twinkle Toes a hug good-bye (and Avery also gave her a quick squeeze) and set out the cookies, milk and carrots for Santa! I love that she's thinking of his hygiene and left the hand sanitizer out for him!

Christmas Mani/Pedis

The girls and I went for mani/pedis to get ready for Christmas. Morgan got red and green nails (alternating), Avery got red and an accent sparkly nail on each hand. I got Christmas red! The owner was walking around handing out wine and champagne, so of course I had to have some! :) Later, Matt heard the girls telling their friend about our mani/pedis and that I was drinking alcohol at 10am! Ha! Funnier yet, their friend said "ya, my mom does that sometimes, too!" :)

World Cup watching party

We snuggled up on the couch and watched the World Cup game... it was a really exciting, great game! Morgan is a big Messi fan!
