Gum

Lately, the girls have been obsessed with chewing gum. I've given them a few pieces with some mixed results. They love Juicy Fruit, but minty gum is hit or miss. Due to some unfortunate incidents, we now have a few rules about gum chewing. 1) No gum chewing in the car, after a few too many instances of searching for flyaway gum in/under/around car seats 2) No gum chewing while watching Kindles (see below).

Maybe because she wasn't really paying attention or got excited playing a game or singing along with her Kindle, but we had our first "gum in hair" incident with Morgan the other night. It was bad, too, because she tried to get it out herself worried she would be in big trouble. After consulting Google, I decided to try peanut butter... and that really works! We got the gum out without having to cut any hair.
