On Wednesday, we grabbed a quick Starbucks breakfast at our hotel, swam a bit more and then met up with our friends again at Navy Pier for the Light up the Lake festival.
We spent the first hour or so ice skating. Even Matt got in on the fun!

It ended in a crash and some giggles...
We grabbed some lunch at the Tiny Tavern. The kids did so well at their own table. Sometimes, they seem so old to me!
After lunch, we walked back through the Light up the Lake are to see all the fun lights.
We got rainbow cones and cotton candy!
We left mid-afternoon to head back to the burbs. We were all exhausted! The girls both crashed hard on the car ride home!
Such a fun little trip to the city!
