Spring Break: Day 1 - Salt Lake City
We started our Spring Break on Friday (flight prices and times were much better!). We flew out to Salt Lake City, leaving O'Hare at 9AM. Morgan had been dreading flying again... she's developed a big fear of flying all of the sudden. We had to wait for our turn to take off quite a while, so that didn't help either. But, that's O'Hare! The girls and I had one row and Dad sat in the row behind us. Turns out, the screens did not work for our row and the 10 rows in front of us, but Dad's row worked just fine. And, the flight was completely full, but somehow Dad ended up with an empty seat next to him! He lucked out!
The flight went well, little turbulence. So, Morgan was happy! We grabbed our bags and picked up our rental car. We got a Toyota 4-Runner. Richard and Marcia met us for lunch at Neilsen's Frozen Custard. The kids loved the desserts!
We made it to Richard and Marcia's house. They live in Pleasant Grove, which is about 45 minutes from the SLC airport. The girls were excited to be out of a plane and out of a car!
We relaxed at their house for a bit and then headed to the Brick Oven Pizza place in Provo near BYU. Morgan was super excited for the salad bar. We don't see those a lot at the places we eat. She's become quite a salad lover lately! She also tried apple beer and loved it!
