Weekend Soccer

Morgan's G2012 Select team had their game on Friday night. I wasn't able to go because I was waiting for Sandy, John and Ruth to come over. But, Matt said it was a good game. They ended up tying 1-1. I accidentally told Morgan the wrong color to wear, so she showed up in bright yellow while the rest of the team was wearing black. Oops! She played goalie the whole game, so it was ok. She was giving her ankle some more rest after hurting it at recess on Wednesday.

On Saturday, Morgan subbed for the G2011 Select team. They were short players again. The game was at OPRF High School (Oak Park River Forest). They had to start off with only 10 players. The 11th player showed up about 30 minutes into the game. It was a close game, but they ended up losing 3-1. Morgan played in the field the whole game because they have a dedicated goalie. She did a great job!

After the game, we went out for dinner at Weber Grill. Of course, we had to take silly selfies! We finally got a good one!
