In the Miller High Life bowling league at DRB, DeezNuts is doing really awful... we are in a tie for last place with two other teams. Awesome, right? We usually have to bowl someone on our team blind and overall we've been bowling worse than normal, so we did this to ourselves really. Anyway, last night, before the game I could hear our opponents (who were in 3rd place in the league) talking pretty confidently about how this was going to be a blowout... well, much to their surprise (and ours), we swept 'em! We all bowled pretty well (for a change). The first game was close, but the second two we had a good lead. The only bad thing is that one of the teams we were tied with (Sneaky Power) also took all three games.

Are you really going to eat that???
Yesterday, I decided to clean out the cabinets at Matt's place to make room for more groceries. There was some seriously expired stuff in those cabinets!I do remember a time a year or so ago when Matt was going to make pancakes for us with Bisquik that had expired in 2004 (no way would I eat that!)... so I shouldn't be surprised by this. I'm one of those people that won't drink the milk two days after the "Use by" date stamped on the bottle. I'm kind of freaked by the possibilty of eating spoiled food, I guess.
I found four cans of soup in the cabinet that had expired... one had an expiration date of Nov 2007! Now, I know soup lasts anywhere from 18 months to like 5 years, so this is nuts. I tossed the stuff.
By the time I finished, I think I had a full bag of trash to throw out (including some items from the fridge that had seen better days, and some frosty unrecognizables from the freezer).
Of course, when Matt got home, he said he would eat all that stuff and that soup "never goes bad". Yeah, maybe if you have an iron stomach like he does! : )

Big surprise
Looks like there won't be another Bachelorette getting married after all... DeAnna and Jesse have called it quits.

I wonder if she'll call Graham now??? : )
She can't call Jason because he's the next Bachelor.

Matt is all growns up, folks
On Saturday (bright and early!), Matt's friend Ryan's parents brought his new bedroom furniture to Chicago from Indiana. We had picked out this stuff when we were back in Peru for the golf tournament in September.
The boxes were huge! And I'm told the furniture was REALLY heavy... but they got it all set up and it looks awesome! For now, the room is set up with the bed against the window, but eventually when the aquarium is gone, we will rearrange it a bit. Anyone want a 65 gallon aquarium??? I know where you can find one! : )

Happy Halloween
On Friday night, my friend Angie (from v-ball) had a party at Witt's. Everyone dressed up in fun costumes. We didn't win the costume contest or the raffle, but we still had a fun time.
Uncle Sam (Brett) and Sarah Palin (Beth)

Elvis (Ross), Miss Alaska runner-up Sarah Palin (Erin), Uncle Sam (Brett), Moose (Sara) and Sarah Palin (Beth)

Me and Matt (supposed to be a 50's chick and a greaser... of course, Matt's doorman thought he was Michael Jackson... huh???)

Brandon and Angie (nice shorts, Brandon aka Lt Dangle!)

Tony in his shades

Fubar (Greatest American Hero) and me

The Knowles' and Rogus showed up at Witt's on their bar crawl

I've been tagged!
Lauren "tagged" me... and I'm finally getting around to posting!
The first part of being tagged is that you have to put the 6th picture from the 6th folder in your pictures directoy.

(Destiny, me and Tina at Friar Tucks)
The second part of the tag is as follows:
1. Link the tagger and provide the rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving names as well as links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they've been tagged by leaving a comment on their blogs.
7 Facts About Me:
1. I'm not very original or creative... so some of my other 7 facts are ideas I stole from other people's 7 facts! : )
2. When I was growing up, I wanted to be a judge. I would watch the People's Court and I wanted to be Judge Wapner. I still watch those court shows when I'm home during the day. I like Judge Mathis.
3. I hate walking in the city... especially during rush hour when the sidewalks are crowded. I walk fast and most other people do not. I hate people that walk four people across shoulder to shoulder and carry on a conversation and walk slow. And then give you a dirty look if you try to walk through them. I hate people that walk straight at you and don't move. Share the sidewalk, people!
4. I get asked how tall I am at least once a week. Or if someone doesn't ask me how tall I am, they will comment on it... not always TO me, but while I'm standing about 2 feet away (apparently, if you are tall people think you can't hear very well, I guess).
5. I am claustrophobic. I have nightmares about having to crawl through a tunnel or cave and not being able to move. If I start to think about it too long, I get butterflies in my stomach.
6. I am addicted to sudoku. Seriously... not good. Ask Matt.
7. I like chicken, steak, etc. but I hate eating meat off of a bone. I really hate chicken wings.
Then, you're supposed to tag other people... but I'm all out of options. So, this game of tag is ending here unfortunately.
