On Tuesday, we trekked to the city for the Winterland festival at Wrigley Field. It was SOOO cold! We met up with Sandi, Brett, Nolan and Calvin. Later Hany, Kayla and Blake joined us as well. All of Wrigley Field was covered with flooring and had rides, lights, etc. Lots of fun!
We started off on the bumper cars. Calvin had to ride with Avery because he was too small to go by himself.
They loved the Tilt-a-Whirl! (Well, everyone except Avery - she rode it once and was done!)
We did the tubing a few times as well. All the kiddos liked this!
We were freezing and needed to thaw out, so we grabbed some hot chocolate and snacks in their "lodge"!
We took a ride on the Infield Express - a little train that went around where the bases are.
The tea cups were also a hit! Avery wouldn't let Calvin spin them too fast. Morgan got Nolan and her teacup going really fast and he looked a little dizzy afterwards!
Picture of all the kiddos on the sleigh!
Avery and I took another ride on the train while the rest of the kids went one more time on the Tilt-a-Whirl.
Afterwards, we grabbed lunch across the street from Wrigley at a BBQ place. Morgan thought this little set up was cute and wanted a picture! The kids' meals came with ice cream, which seems like the opposite of what they would have wanted considering we were all frozen! But, they loved it!
Daddy may have snuck a bite of ice cream before Morgan even got one! Ha!
We decided to make a fun little trip out of the day and spent the night at a hotel in the city. The girls got to swim and hang out in the hot tub.
We got all fixed up and went out for dinner. Avery got to use her new caboodle and make-up! Some friends and their kiddos met us for dinner at The Palm. It was nice to catch up with them in person. We had a back alcove area, which was nice so the kids could be silly and we didn't disturb everyone else in the restaurant.
The girls had intentions of staying up late at the hotel, but they were exhausted from all the fun of the day and crashed before 10. :)
