We got back Morgan's soccer picture... it's kind of funny how they superimposed the background.

Piano Recital

Yesterday was the Spring Piano Recital and Avery, Grayson, Beckett and Hunter participated in it. (Morgan doesn't take lessons.) Hunter came straight from a baseball game, so he wasn't with us beforehand for pictures. Morgan was at Lizzie's birthday party, so she skipped the recital this time. We had Grandma Ruth and my parents in the cheering section. I didn't get any pictures with my parents, though!

We've been watching some game day hair videos on Tik Tok, so I've tried a few of the styles on the girls for their games.

Soccer games and dance photos

We started the day off with soccer games for both girls. Morgan was playing indoor at the ARC and Avery was playing at McCullom. I got to Morgan's soccer game just as she got nailed in the face/neck by the ball! Ugh. She recovered and got back out there. I stayed until halftime and then headed over to Avery's game with my parents.

Here she is after recovering... much happier! Unfortunately, her team lost 1-0. I guess there were a lot of questionable calls by the ref at the end of the game after I was gone. The parents and even our Coach were getting really upset (and our Coach is like the most even-keel person).

Avery's game was hot! Grandma Ruth met us there as well. Avery scored 2 goals and her team ended up winning by 3 goals (not sure of the final score).

After soccer, Avery had a quick lunch and then headed to Cinderella rehearsal. After rehearsal, she had a photo shoot for her dance recital. She has two dances, so two new costumes. She started out in her Acro costume, which we think looks like an orca or wetsuit!

She came home wearing her other costume for her jazz dance.

Mother's Day Fun

The girls got me some beautiful flowers and Morgan made me a pretty wine bottle with lights! They didn't get to do their traditional breakfast in bed because Morgan had an early soccer game 45 minutes away.

We went to Parker's for the Jazz Brunch. They have New Orleans style food and a jazz band walks around playing music. The girls liked their fancy drinks! We also got an order of beignets and they were huge fans!

Later that day, Grandma Ruth came over for dinner and we sat out back enjoying the gorgeous weather. It was even warm enough that the girls decided to get the hose out. They used their tumble track as a slip-n-slide!

 We got back the official dance team pictures of Avery in her red costume. She loves this costume! She has one more performance of the "Let's Ride" dance at the Competition Recital in June. The competitions are done for the year. She has had a fun time on the dance team this year and would like to try out again for next year!
