Soccer cheering section!

We were having some people over for dinner to celebrate a coworker's upcoming wedding. But, Morgan also had a soccer game, so I took her to that while Matt (with Shannon's help) got everything ready at our house. Morgan's team lost pretty badly, but they had the cutest cheering section by far! Milo got to come with us to the game and he got so many compliments on how cute he was! Lizzie joined us because she was having a sleepover with the girls at our house.

Softball game vs Hay

Morgan's team played on Saturday at 2:00 against Hay. It was a really hot day! Morgan pitched in the 1st and 4th innings and did great. According to the stats, Morgan gave up zero hits and one run (zero earned) over those two innings, striking out two and walking one. Their team ended up winning 13 to 6!

Morgan had an awesome play at home while pitching. She tagged a person trying to steal home! I was live streaming from my phone, so I took no pictures. But, I screen shotted from the video footage (so it's not good).

Here Morgan is getting ready to pitch:

Here she goes... Morgan grabbed the ball and ran over to cut the runner off before getting to home.

And she's out! :)

We had to leave a little early to run home, so Morgan could change for her soccer game.

Picture Day

Wednesday was picture day at school. The 6th graders all wear their Hawaiian shirts for pictures, so we didn't have to figure out what to wear!

Softball Game #1

Morgan had her first softball game Monday night. She missed the team's first game on Saturday because she had a soccer game at the same time. She was pumped for the game! For batting, she was up four times - struck out twice, walked once and line drive to left field the other time. She made it in to score twice. She also pitched one inning. She struck out the first batter and the rest got hits. Two runs got in that inning. She didn't walk anyone, so that was good! We had to cut out a few minutes early from the game so that Morgan could get to goalie training. But, her team ended up winning 12-9. :)

This is the only picture I got - ha! I'll have to try harder at the next game!

Kick-off Cookout

Avery's dance school had their annual Competition Season Kick-off Cookout on Sunday night at Ty Warner park. At the cookout, they get to find out their dance sibling and family for the year as well as learn the theme for the dance recital next June.

Avery moved up to "Teen" this year. The switchover age is somewhere between 12 to 14. She's turning 12 in October.

The Teen Team is a little smaller. They are missing some members here, but I think they have less than 10 in total.

Here is Avery's dance family.

They announced the Showcase theme and it is "Once Upon a Dynamic Dream". So, I think it will be fairy tale related. Avery will be in three numbers this year for the Showcase because she added lyrical ballet to her classes.

Touchdown!

On Sunday, we all went to watch Grayson play football. Grayson even scored a touchdown for us!

G2012 vs Glen Ellyn Lakers

Morgan had a soccer game Saturday night. I missed the first half because Avery's photo shoot was running long, so I just dropped my parents off at the game and then drove back to get Avery. She and I made it to the game at halftime. Morgan played goalie the first half and in the field the second half. In the second half, she got fouled in the box and got to take a penalty shot. She actually said the foul was more that the girl stepped on her shoelace and Morgan fell, but oh well! She did totally wipe out!

Here's the kick - snuck it in on the left side! Her team won 2-1.
