We took the girls to their first movie in a theater the other day - Finding Dory. We had been putting off the movie theater mainly because we knew it wasn't going to be Morgan's thing. She barely sits through a 30 minute TV show at home and has a pretty short attention span. Plus, she's really scared of loud noise. But, we went over lunchtime to a place that serves you food, so we figured that would keep her entertained as well. The girls did love having the big recliners and the trays in front of them. Avery figured out how to make her chair recline and go back up... fun times!
When the movie started, both girls put their hands over their ears. Morgan eventually got used to the level of the noise from the movie and took her hands off her ears. They liked eating lunch and watching the movie. I can't say that they followed along with what was going on in the movie the whole time, but they did like the scenery of it and watching the fish swim around. :)
We made it literally 10 minutes from the end of the movie and both girls were ready to go. They were super tired (nap time!) and had basically checked out from watching the screen. So, yep, we left right before the best part. Matt and I really wanted to watch the end to see what happened, but we didn't want to ruin it for those people around us by our kids whining.
