Bad night of bowling
Our bowling team HAD BEEN in first place in the league, but after last night's showing, I'm pretty sure we've dropped a few spots. We were all having off-nights and the other team wasn't... not a good combo. We only won one of the three games and it was by about 15 pins. Not good!

ATW
Around the world... in 9 beers. Saturday night, Matt and I went to the Reuters to watch some basketball and do a little 'traveling'. We each bought a six-pack of beer from a different country for everyone to share. Here's what we had: Peroni (Italy), Hacker-Pschorr (Germany), Labatt (Canada), Windhock (Namibia), Lacto (Malta), Tsingtao (China), James Boags (Tasmania) and Quilmes (Argentina). And of course, once you made it all the way around the world and back to the US... there was Coors Light. You had to keep track of where you had been and how your visit to each country was. I got stuck in Italy (after less than 4 beers... I made it through Germany, China and Tasmania)... I couldn't make it back home! (Probably has something to do with drinking too much on Friday night.) Not surprisingly, Matt was able to make it all the way through. : )
Afterwards, we played some Wii bowling and tennis... until I accidentally whacked Kathryn with the Wii-mote. I have a habit of not knowing my surroundings when I get all wrapped up in a fierce game of Wii tennis.

Sushi + Karaoke
Friday night, Hany, Matt, Jane (a friend of Hany's from work) and I went out for sushi at Oysy on Grand Ave. Lots of good sushi. As always, Matt was happy to have his picture taken. : )
After dinner, the girls continued on for some karaoke at Blue Frog. The place was really packed, but Hany managed to score us a table up front. I haven't been out for karaoke in so long... definitely loads of fun!

Bonus!
I'm so glad it's finally Friday... and what makes this Friday even better is that we got paid our 2007 bonuses today! : )
Wednesday night, I played in the volleyball play-offs because Erin was in Dallas this week. We lost. We were the first place team and we lost to one of the last place teams. Terrible. The other team brought in a ringer for the game and the guy was just awesome. He killed us.
{Speaking of Erin and Dallas... she's stuck there today. It snowed a few inches, which apparently shut down the city. She was supposed to be on a 6:40am flight to Chicago, but was bumped to 9:30PM and now is waiting on stand-by for an earlier flight... good luck with that!}
Last night, Matt had to work late (again... the boy works way too much!), so I hit the gym in his building. The gym is pretty small, but I don't think many people use it because I can usually get a treadmill or elliptical machine when I go in... and there are only four of those in total. When Matt got home, we went to eat dinner at De Cero on Randolph. We really love the guac at that place... always tastes super fresh. And they have all sorts of yummy fruit margaritas. The service last night was pretty bad, though. Our waiter kept forgetting about us.

This can't possibly be for real

According to an article on the Daily Mail website... in London, they are padding the lightposts due to the number of injuries people endure while walking and texting and not paying attention to where they are going. This has to be a joke?!?!

Hair cut --- check!
I'm continuing to cross off items on the list of "things I want to do when I get back to Chicago"... I left work Tuesday afternoon early to get my hair all spiffed up. My hair was getting way too long and I was turning into a brunette, so I went to see Duschan and he fixed me right up! : )
I opened the variety package of sprinkles I bought at the duty-free at the Amsterdam airport... no bread and butter, so I really couldn't do it up the proper Dutch way, but they are still good straight from the box. I still can't believe how many bread/butter/sprinkles people eat in Amsterdam... and I'm still trying to figure out how some of those people aren't overweight.

That was pretty much the excitement of my day... candy sprinkles and a haircut. Good times.
