Fat Tuesday in September

A group of about 20 people from my office went to the Brazilian steakhouse, Brazzaz, for lunch today. Because people need a reason to get out of the office, it was dubbed "Fat Tuesday in September"... kind of a like a half-birthday of Fat Tuesday, if you will. This was not just an ordinary lunch, though. It was a competition. With score sheets.

The contestants:

The rules:
- You got 1 point for every piece of meat you ate (anything wrapped in bacon counted as 2 points)
- There were certain items that if you ate both, you would get a bonus point (the "coupling bonus")
- If you had one of everything, you got 8 bonus points ("variety bonus" - you could do this as many times as you wanted)
- At the end of the meal, one meat cut was selected at random to be worth double points
- Double points are deducted for any piece of meat taken, but not eaten

Poor Georgia just had surgery on her wrist, so she was at a disadvantage (but she did get some help cutting up her meat).

The winner scored a total of 89 points! The second place finisher had 63 points! Third place had 62 points.

I had a very weak 9 points. Poor showing, I must say.

There was no trophy... all the winner got was braggin' rights... and probably heartburn.
