First day of our new remote learning program from school. The district has guidelines of how long each grade should spend per day on schoolwork, as well as how long they suggest kids should spend during each session of working on remote learning. For first grade, the total is 90 minutes per day and 15 minutes at a time. When we were doing the e-learning the other week we were on quarantine, they had sent home packets with worksheets and things were done outside of systems a lot. Now, the remote learning has more videos and activities in the apps on their school iPads. So, that's nice. We are also now learning new things instead of just reviewing topics they had already learned.
The girls are also doing Zoom class meetings during what would have been their snack and story time at school. Avery loves seeing her friends on the screen, but Morgan is apprehensive about doing the Zoom meetings. She doesn't want other people to be able to see her. and she doesn't want to have to talk in front of her whole class. She is definitely my daughter. I would be the last one to volunteer to talk in front of the whole class. Avery is the opposite. She gets so excited when it's her turn to talk! :)
The girls had a lot of fun at Wilken School today. The weather was warm and Aunt Erin gave them all squirt bottles to have a water fight with. Then she dumped full buckets of water on their heads!
Later in the day, Avery worked on a bracelet for her friend Daphne. Daphne's birthday is tomorrow and we are doing a birthday parade at her house, so we will give it to her then.
While we were doing this, Daddy put Morgan to work outside on the plants!
I love seeing all the memes that are coming out right now... here are a few from the past couple of days that I thought were funny.
