So, it definitely wasn't our normal Easter. The past few years we have been going to my brother's house to celebrate. They always have loads of great food and a fun egg hunt for the kiddos. But, this year, we had a quiet day at home, but did get to have a family Zoom call so we could have a virtual Easter celebration.
The Easter bunny still found our house! He hid 96 eggs for the kiddos to find!
We found 91 during the first search, then we all looked high and low for the remaining 5. Luckily, we found them (they were plastic anyway!)
Avery wanted to dress up for the day and put on her Easter outfit from last year. The Easter bunny brought the girls little clip-on earrings and they loved them!
Morgan dressed up as well... but she hates skirts, dresses or being fancy, so she dressed up in her dry-fit running shirt and a sweatshirt type skirt. She added the headband to make it fancy! She also still has face paint on, so it looks like she was slapped! Ha!
After we found all the eggs, we made banana muffins.
We had a Zoom call in the morning so the kiddos could share what the Easter bunny brought them. We also got a lively rendition of "Itsy Bitsy Spider" from Calvin.
Morgan has been really trying so hard to master Mario Kart. She gets so frustrated when she comes in last place all the time. But, today, it was an Easter miracle. She came in first place a few times and was beyond excited!
For dinner, Morgan wanted one of the hard-boiled eggs from Easter. We laughed because everything on her plate was green... including the egg!
Morgan enjoying a (non-green) treat after dinner!
By the end of the day, the girls were exhausted and a complete melt-down mess. Luckily, the Easter bunny poured me a nice big glass of wine! :)
Hope you all had a nice Easter and were able to spend time with family, even if it was only virtually!
