Friday night out in Rotterdam

Friday night, Meg, Sarvesh and I went to Rotterdam to meet up with Dan and Bryan for dinner and night out. It's a little over an hour by train. We started off with dinner at a ribs place called de Beren Eetcafe (The Bears Restaurant). They have all you can eat ribs on Tuesday and Thursday nights.

Bryan got the ribs with four different sauces... so did Meg and Sarvesh. It was a ton of food!

After dinner we went to a bar called Plan C, which was supposed to have a live band playing cover songs from the 60's through today... but no band ever played. We were confused because we got there before 11pm (to avoid the 5 Euro cover) and no one was even there yet. We waited around thinking the band would start around midnight or so, but nope... I still don't know what happened to the band. There was a DJ and the music was a mix of techno, 80s, 90s... definitely a wide range. At some point, there were dancers on the stage. They played a few Christmas songs and dropped fake snow from the ceiling. It was all very interesting.

A few people from the Rotterdam TP office joined us out at Plan C.
Paul, Johann, Sarvesh (hidden), Bryan, Dan, Karolina, Alexander and Meg:

Here's a pic of the stage with the dancers... I think they were dancing to Will Smith's Wild West:

We ended up staying there until almost 3am... much later than we expected (especially considering we had big sightseeing plans for Saturday).
